SP Family,
I want to let you know that I will soon be out of commission for a few days. In late September, 2010, I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer. My pathology report showed the cancer to be very small, contained and slow growing. My Urologist suggested six options of treatment, with all predicted to produce the outcome of 95 – 98% curable. He told me to do my homework, and take my time in making this critical decision.
Monday, January 24th I will begin a Clinical Trial on the Prospective Evaluation of Cyberknife Stereotactic Radiosurgery of low and intermediate risk prostate cancer, with the Francis Love Cancer Institute at St. Anthony hospital in Oklahoma City. The first day is mostly information and consent, but I will also have a minor surgical procedure. I will then have a week before the 4-5 daily treatment sessions.
If all goes according to the schedule I have been provided, my treatments will be done the first week of February.
In HIS grip, Dan
