It seems like half of Texas is on fire right now. I'm almost certain there are folks who frequent this site that have been directly affected the past few days and even weeks.
Our pastures haven't been burned off yet, but visibility at our place on Friday and again on Sunday was literally only a couple of hundred yards at times from smoke originating from fires miles away from us.
In fires around Possum Kingdom Lake, there are documented cases of flames actually being over 100 feet tall - from a grass fire. On Sunday, fires were traveling a mile per minute at times.
For any of you in the hay business up north, you won't be lacking for customers in our part of the world if this weather pattern doesn't change.
