What do you thank about PVF Insight or his calves. Post pics if  you have some calves out of him.

A friend in Iowa bought some semen and I looked at his video. Thought he looked good, super thick (one of the chunkiest Angus I've seen) and put together in a nice package. My main concern is that he does not want to reach out on those front legs and is pretty choppy on the move. With that said he will sure work on the right cow if he breeds true to his appearance. Should help downsize and thicken up the race horses.

That video has me concerned with his overall movement. Just looks uncomforable. Not fluid at all. Maybe its just my eyes they are getting old.
Are you looking for something to breed your pretty roan too?

OB - I'll have to agree 100% but there has been a lot of buzz on that guy. Go figure. I believe there is a full bother on a video that IMO was more functional. I think his name is Radiance.

I will try to post some pics of a couple of Insight heifers that we have. So far, I LOVE them!

The one heifer I almost let get away. Tried to sell her dam last summer as a bred heifer for $3,500. Didn't generate much interest, but I don't know that I'd part with her Insight calf if offered that much today. Her dam is about as small of frame score as we have in our herd. She is a Limestone Jupiter out of a SAV Traveler 004. The Insight calf has monster belly, very thick, and Insight has thrown his clean front on this girl.

Some of the previous posters were commenting that he should moderate larger cows. However, I'm not so sure despite his EPD numbers. This calf is going to be much bigger than her mom, but it should hit our sweet spot of just under a 6 for frame score. The other Insight calf we have is out of one of our older Marathon/TC Freedom cows and at this point I'd have to say that the calf will not be any larger than her mom. I've talked with another area breeder who have helped us for years, and he is finding that the calves look like they will be larger than their dams on average.

We love Insight and have used him again on several cows. I believe that his offspring out of our cows should be easy to market.

Sold an insight yearling bull today and bought an insight heifer to bring back home. We like what we have seen so far and looking to use some more of him.

He made feet worse on an Onward x 004 cow I have.  Cow wasn't too bad but yearling daughter has long toes and lacks heel depth.
