Is there much difference in the Champion Drive-Showbloom-Calf manna top dresses?  Do you feed these from start to finish?
Also, if you are feeding a complete show feed, is it cost effective to use one of the above with Shag or Epic or will they basically cancel one another out in terms of their value?  (i.e. is it cost effective to feed a hair conditioner and grower?)

By no means am I a expert on this, but I was feeding a complete show diet, and shag, and I saw great results. I am also feeding champions drive with my diet and I am still growing hair...in south texas! This is all on a heifer.I know for sure you can feed champions drive all the way through, but not about the show bloom or calf manna. Good luck!

Just my 2 cents

I would stay on the Complete feed until 4 months before fair (Terminal)...Then I Would switch to a Complete Finisher Feed. and SHAG with 1 Scoop of calf mana which Is a brewers dried yeast product, I feel it is close enough to Show Bloom but CHEAPER.  If you really want to get your steer (I hope it is a Steer) Fat Look in to Rice Bran.....A lot of the show Jocks use this to but cover on there animials.

I top dress with Winners Edge. Does anyone still use this product?

We've used Gold Dust for years and years.  Been around about as long as Winners Edge.  We only stopped recently because we're feeding Shag and I got worried about ODing them on certain minerals between what we have mixed in our feed and what's in the supplements.

we have been using calf manna on our heifer this year and I am liking her progress.  We have been feeding it since a few weeks before we weaned her but just not as much as the bag says.  I think it recommends 1 lb a day or so?  I usually go with half that and I am pleased.

We feed a pretty much regular protien mix from the co-op. We've been adding soy beans which we've really liked the result.  About 3 months before show season we top with calf manna and add 2 months out show bloom. It has worked really well but we live in Colorado and have a cooling shed.

we have not had much of a problem with it, we feed beet pulp plus free choice hay.
