Has anyone had trouble with the semen theyve purchased from them? We bought ours at the ohio beef expo and weve had all kinds of trouble this breeding season. Cows that normally catch first time have come back in and weve done nothing different this year. Maybe its just a bad year i dont know. any info would help thanx

Had trouble with one bull 2 years ago, last year no issues with same bull as well as others.

we bougt semen at the expo too, stuck nothing to the tc total we got. i bought 10 straws of I-80 from them last fall and had an empty straw. it was one of the 5 that i sold and got told about later. :'(

We buy some from them every year and have never had a problem.
Everything we have used from them this year stuck first time.

remember Top Sires (and other mail order companies) is just a reseller of semen made elsewhere.  they did not produce the stuff, so besides handling, they have nothing to do with the quality of the semen.

Borrow a microscope or get a vet clinic to look at thawed straw. No semen and or poor motility, get on the phone and let Mike make it right. I got an entire cane from another company several years ago of nothing. Missed two, got the scope, called company and they made it right. Frustrating, but there will always be human error and having one bad cane out of hundreds is a small price to pay to use these genectics...

Thank you everyone great tips.... we always deal with mike and top sires and have never had a problem and maybe its not the semen i was just throwing it out there to see if anyone else has been havin problems.....and bk2005 same semen here I80 is what weve had problems with
