Some may have know Karlton Waechter as BCCC or Kansas Karl. He joined Steerplanet in 2008. Below are the links to his untimely and unnecessary death. I did not know him personally but had private communication with him through steerplanet. Knowledgeable young man. Hate to see this kind of unnecessary loss in our communities. My condolenences go out to his family and friends.

On Sunday around 6:50 p.m., Garden City police responded to the 4100 block of East Highway 50 for an aggravated battery. When officers arrived, they found a man, 21-year-old Karlton Waechter of Garden City, with multiple gunshot wounds in his car.  He was transported to St Catherine Hospital where he died. Officers located the suspect and arrested him. He has been identified as 32-year-old Michael George.
George is being held in the Finney County Jail on charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, attempted aggravated robbery, aggravated battery, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Unfortunate and senseless loss.  I got to know him personally through shows.  He was always willing to help and knew what he was doing.  RIP Karlton.

That is so tragic! I never met Karlton, but I have had some communications with him in the past 2-3 years. My sympathies to his family and friends.

That's ridiculous
A man that has worked hard and acquired so much knowledge to make something of himself loses his life to a guy that probably hasn't done much and now he will have 3 meals a day a bed shelter and protection so what he did to Karlton doesn't happen to him and you pay for it with taxes
Way to go America

Authorities said George and Waechter were acquaintances.    ugh.

perps robbed their future.

stole the future of another.

not seeing much remorse in the pics.

Rigdon was booked on felony first degree murder, attempted felony first degree murder, attempted aggravated robbery, criminal possession of a firearm by a felon, felony interference with law enforcement and auto burglary. He has previously served time for numerous counts of burglary, theft and battery.

not sure what we do with people who want stuff for free.

put them on an island with not authority? food drops once in a while. not sure why we invest in jobs and tax dollars to house them to do nothing, which only trains them to get back in as quickly as possible. as they move up in dependency, so does their risky behavior which must be paid for with innocent lives.

Karlton was a good friend to my family, and came out to Illinois to help picture cattle and help us at state fair multiple times. He and my sister were very close, and this has been incredibly difficult for her. I can't believe this has happened. I hope his family can find comfort in the fact that he will be missed by so many friends across the country.

My sympathy goes out to your sister.
Frosty alerted me to the fact the name sounded familiar. I did little research and found the story. I hope I did not offend anyone by posting this. He was a contributing member to the forum that gave advice at times seemed years ahead of his actual age.

Prayers for the loss of a hardworking person of integrity and for his family and anyone affected by such a senseless loss-  30 cartons of cigarettes to the first Ni6g80-r or cholo who makes him a punk-I may burn after judgement day-but there are certain things I do not forgive-or turn the other cheek to.
