Visit from a member

I'm getting a visit today from showsteerdlux. I'm looking forward to it although I warned him I'm a small operation & it's muddy here!

Has anyone else has gotten a visit from a member of Steerplanet or if you've visited someone? Or let us know later if you've had a visit or visited someone!

So far I've had RedWing, Justme, Ohio Breeder & MLK32.

i will be traveling the Eastern Half of Iowa this coming weekend with a group of friends looking at calves.  I have contacted justamom and think we will stop in to see her calves.  anybody else out there in Eastern Iowa that has some babies to show off?

I've been to ELBEE's, Jill's and V8(I went to V8 in juco for a workout long before I knew Rachel or this website was created). I'm sure there might be others that I don't realize or can't remember. Davis Shorthorns and aj's wife have been to our place. Like I have said before I already know numerous members even if I have never been to their place. Again this is why the board is so great there are so many existing friendships and you throw in more people that have the same interests it starts to feel like a family real quick.

I was at CAB's Saturday.  Pretty nice set...  I really like Hannibal x Doublstufff ET calf.  Its worth looking at if anyone is passing through his neighborhood.  I saw a pretty good Wilson calf too...

Dusty- you need to go to Common Sense's too. I'm sure you'd like her Gigolo Joe calves. Plus she's got some other real cool looking heifers & bulls.

I am blessed -- we have had Jill here a few weeks ago -- enjoyed that for sure, taking care of one of thier cows now - YEAH

A N D -- in about 2 hours or so, Common Sense and hubby are pulling here!!!  (clapping) (clapping)

We are having brisket and STUFF for lunch, and hopefully they leave with a calf we are extremely excited about. Every one go see him at Juli's -- his momma is going too as he is only 50 days old. What an exciting day -- good timing RED.

We have had Silver Maple Shorthorns here -- yesterday we had 2 VERY good friends and customers bring in cows from Illinois, and I am sure by this time in July there will be some more members arrive. I am blessed -- and what a great way to make a living with so many great people!

6M Ranch has a cow here from Colo, a really nice E-161 that won Iowa Expo a couple years ago. Super good cow now.

Show Hfr was here a couple years ago -- enjoyed that very much too. I am sure I missed some others, and will in the future too -- sorry if I am getting old!! hehehe

Had such a nice time w/ John (showsteerdelux) & his family. Wonderful people. John's going to pass info about my calves for sale.
He also took lots of pictures of machinery for his JD dealership. We looked are your calves & then walked the farm's pasture to look at calves. Also went to farm where I think he was floored by the machinery. We also took time to view the 80 head feedlot.

thanks so much John, come again anytime but wear warmer clothes!!!!

Mary Sue -- how could I "EVER" forget to mention you being here!! Sooooo sorry --- you guys were certainly one of the highlights from last year -- ME BAD !!!!

Juli and Brad just left -- had a marvelous dinner and vist with some great folks. They have my little Uno cow and her Mile High Max bull calf on the trailer headed home as we speak. They were excited, and I took a few pics with them and the calf, meybe Red can figure out how to get them on here -- I am not having any luck!

A bright sunny day, a good breeze in the 70 degree range -- just a perfect noon time !!

Any one going to Juli's this summer, make sure you look up the Max calf -- Juli named him Cowboy -- wonder why????

They offer to rebreed her for me, and I sent some more of Max along, as well as buying 10 of Joe while they were here! This is an exciting year --- now all there is left is to wait till Labor Day -- heheheheheeh!!!

ELBEE, you've been to our place - dropped off a couple of cows and heifer calves.  Dad had a great time showingy ou guys around.

I've met Jill (got Ruby from her and at Royal), been to Reds, met Commonsense, and somewhere down the line I met Sand J at college (granted part of college was a blur but he remembers me!)

Now...I'd like to invite you all to NW Missouri.  I'm just off the Iowa border.  Steer jocks, Maine Breeders, anyone that likes cattle stop by!  I've got calves to sell! lol

P-F- Her boys are hard to keep track of, talk about little balls of fire....they certainly keep her on her toes!!!

OH Breeder- Shawn and I had a small conversation at expo, but hope to get to pick his brain some more in the future
Malinda- Of course another Shorthorn breeder, and Dad hauled some cattle to her place after expo

I have been to ITK's and that is about it.  My girlfriend and I are planning a little farm viewing trip after school is out next week.  Any takers on a couple of college kids tromping around your places??? (lol)

We had Jill's family here last summer, I am recovering nicely! ;D If you want to come out Davis call anytime we would be happy to have you.It would be a great excuse to go to our coop herd and see the Kendra ET calves.
