I had CPUBARN and his son here last fall.  Really enjoyed the visit and I hope they make their way back.  I'm also hoping to get to justamom's and Shebet21's in the next few weeks.  Frankly, there's so many people on the site that I'd like to visit that I usually check the map for whatever state I'm traveling in just in case I have time to make a short stop anywhere.  I know some may feel its an invasion of privacy but I wish everyone would at least put their state of residence either on their profile or on Jason's map or both so we can get together more easily.
I feel like I know some of you pretty well after just a few weeks as a member so I hope you all know that the welcome mat is always out and the coffeepot is always on at Oakbar if you're in northern Iowa.

I'm getting a visit today from showsteerdlux. I'm looking forward to it although I warned him I'm a small operation & it's muddy here!

Has anyone else has gotten a visit from a member of Steerplanet or if you've visited someone? Or let us know later if you've had a visit or visited someone!

So far I've had RedWing, Justme, Ohio Breeder & MLK32.

Red  (welcome)

Showsteerelux also stopped by to visit us, we were so excited and they were very nice people.

This was our first wisit from someone on here.

ELBEE,

Dad's doing fine - moving a little slower as he gets older but still out there every day.

The cattle are doing great.  The two older Darrell daughters had to acclimate to our pastures and we moved them to the fall group to help solve the fescue fungus issue, but now they are doing great.  I've attached a picture of a fall calf by Matador that will end up in the replacement pen.  The two Gizmos are doing great.  One has an interesting Matador calf at side - solid red, polled, 70 lb. BW, super thick and about a 5 frame.  Not the prettiest calf but a true "cowman's" kind - we think he might have a future in the Durham Red program.

If you guys decide to take a vacation out our way - stop in, you're always welcome.  Hope everything is going well in the land of the Jayhawks!

As mentioned eariler I was able to visit red and P-F. Both had top notch operations and I learned alot from each. If anyone is in need of calves both farms have very nice calves. The Hard Core heifer at reds is going to be great and I loved P-F's flushmates out of emblazon and one of his donors whose name is escaping me right now.
Thanks so much to both as this was a type of farming that we do not use here in my part of NC and the visits gave me some new ideas.
Also got to meet the world famous woody who we all absolutely loved.
P.S.-Red, the cold didnt bother me too much as I was in awe of the cattle and machinery I was getting to see.

Doc and I are good friends and I've been to his place on several occasions. I've also been to SRU's place and have talked to him several times on the phone. Met Red, Woody, and Hubby at NAILE as well as Malinda. I've talked to others on the phone - garybob, cookcattleco, itk, Dooling1 ( bought a calf from his sister) and have met his dad a couple of times at sales or shows. I've known jasmar for a few years and I'm quite sure I've crossed paths with many of you all at Shorthorn sales, the Jr. Nat'ls, or at Denver. I would welcome a visit anytime - June through August we could share a fresh watermelon and talk cattle, September and October we could dine on fresh peanuts, Late October through January we hunt then talk cattle  ;D Call or come by anytime.

I've been to TJ's place, and then we went to Houston..I would say we know each other pretty well by now!

I've bought a bull from Dooling1, and a heifer from his sister.  I'm a fan of Gold Rush  ;).  I've met his dad a couple times too, and they seem to be a super nice family.

BudE and my families are very close, and he's known me my whole life.

I hope that I get to meet a bunch more of the people here at Jr. Nationals, The Royal, and NAILE.  Seems like we have a bunch of characters on here!

If anyone is in IL and might wanna stop by, we're always ready to talk cattle and have a cold one, come on by.

I had a great visit w/ showsteerdlux & his family! I was embarressed on the stuff we had to tramp through! Woody was sure showing off! He can jump onto a 36" high hay bale & was showing off!
I'm glad you liked my Hard Core heifer. I think she is really special. We also got a chance to walk the pasture to look at the farm's calves. We have a rred vision steer that the nephew is really proud of. I think John was amazed at how big our herd bull is, he weighes about 2600 pounds. It was great to meet your parents & brother. Let anyone know we're here & love visitors!

The next day I got a visit from Red Wing farm. They bought my cowboy Cut x Rose heifer last year. Hope to do more business w/ them.
