Ok, I have had enough. I can not stand it.
obama wants a bill to pass so he can "leave a legacy". He has chose the health care bill. He has had private meetings (so much for transparency), he has called for "pass SOMETHING pleeeaaasssseeeee" (sounds like a 5 year old begging for a cheap toy) then he has threatened "this must be done by Christmas" (really? Is the senate not in session after Christmas? Oh I forgot, that is when the campaigning starts for the next election).
Now he has agreed to buying a vote from a Senator from Nebraska. Yep, that Senator held out until everyone (including obama) agreed that his state would not have to pay anything for medicare EVER. That is FOREVER. I must say, good job Senator. But now I have to wonder, why isn't every other Senator holding out for the same deal? If I were them, I would reverse my vote until they bought my "yes" vote for the same price (or maybe more).
A majority of the public doesn't want reform. A majority says it will raise health care cost. A majority says something is NOT better than nothing. In fact I heard in a news show that "I realize the public opinion is that this health care reform is not good. But sometimes the people do not understand what is good for them." (I am sorry, can not remember who it was) So I guess we the people are just stupid. I mean, it is "we the people" that are paying the bill and it is the Senators/Congressman that have the Cadillac of life long health care. It is "we the people" that voted these losers into office. Hmmmmm, on second thought, maybe we are stupid.
Thanks for letting me rant.
