I have a shorthorn cow that I have never bred to have a shorthorn plus calf. She is out of a pha clean Shouflers El Bonito son and a Rosemary dam. I forgot how to post pictures on here. If someone wants to tell be how I will post one of her. I figure if I can get a picture up it would help more for ideas rather than me trying to explain how she looks

When you post the picture make sure its in a format that is acceptable- gif, jpg, bmp etc.
Try to size the pic so you can view it easily usually somewhere in the 800 x 1000 range
Once you have attached the picture you will see it in the file chosen box. Then Post.

For shorthorn Plus- What do you want to do with the plus calves? Monopoly although is a THC is making beautiful prospects for plus cattle. I like my Simmi' x Shorthorns. We are currently using a red maine to make plus cattle and liking the females.

Thank you for your help OH Breeder. I am mainly looking to add some depth and some hair. All of her calves have been very sound and put together quite well. She is a moderate framed cow so I want to try and stay away from a bull that make them smaller.

I think Monopoly would work. Fu Man Chu also. Look at Renegade Blues too.

Thriller would be my choice. If you go back and search him, you will see most recommend breeding him to shorthorns.  They make good cows too and really good competitive steers without sacrificing too much frame.

After seeing her picture you should be fine with Monopoly, Unstoppable, MAB( might be just moderate calf) just a few. I have not been happy with the rear leg set on some of the females that Fu Man Chu has made. They do'nt seem as sound as the Monopoly's. THe Unstoppbale's have been soft made easy feeding type cattle. MAB cattle have just been massive. Your cow has an extended front one third and clean through her shoulders to work with MAB. Just my opinion.

Fu Man Chu calves have done some winning. I guess it just depends on the cow.
