What to feed my steer and what to do to build muscling

I'm currently feeding my steer Purina show chow fitters edge which is a 14/3 and two scoops of beat pulp  mixed in . He is growing pretty good he has a revalor g implant also but i need to know what i should feed him to help build muscle any top dressing suggestions or different Purina feed  i should feed. also any muscle building tips

If you are looking to add muscle to your steer then protein is the way. Purina Champion Drive is a protein supplement.  Just be careful adding protein. Too much can lead to joint issues.  Look out for popping pasterns or swelling/fluid at the hock on the inner leg.  I think Fitters Edge does a good job of growing steers in a balanced way.  The key with Fitters Edge is making sure your steer gets the roughage.  If you read the recommendations it references a "scratch factor"....
