I am anxious to see calves out of Buddy Love. he is pretty cool looking in his pictures. We have some old school shorthorns that he could help out. I have TM Gus in the tank but haven't taken a chance on him.

what white shorthorn bull is going to give me a stout big boned heifer calf with a clean choked front, what try of cow will give me the best chance of this
I think Vegas or Gus will get it done, with vegas probally giving you a more powerful clubbby calf. While Gus will give you a tad less extreme calf, will probally be a tad bigger framed. Either should be fine on 2nd calvers.

I have seen Gus a few times after Denver and I can tell you that he is one of the most sound bulls that you will find.  Also have seen his dam, and grand dam and they are both phenomenal cows.  I used him on my Simmi cross cow this year for a SH+ calf and will be using sexed for a flush on my donor cow this year.  Also as far as a bull for second calf heifers I would be more comfortable with gus.  The calves I have seen out of him were small at birth but then turn it on after a few months.  Talk to Stumpy on here for any more info on him.

Impossible.  There are only two Buddy Love's registered with the American Shorthorn Association. One born in 01, one born in 08.  You saying that Dunn, Steck, and the ASA all have misprints?

That would be the one.  He's causing quite a buzz in clubby Shorthorn circles.

is he pretty thick from behind

I've never seen him in person, but if Wendell Dunn, Stecks, and DUNK are the ones promoting him, he's the real deal.  I think DJS Shorthorns has an ad for him where you can see some of his quarter from a front view on their site.

I don't think there would be anything nearer to what you want than Vegas. But I don't think it'd be a stretch to say that his BW CAN make HWave look like a calving ease bull. For the kind of calves we need, Sin City isn't even a reasonable facsimile.

Also I think that Gus bull is the best all around thing going right now. But I don't think, I could be wrong, but I don't think he will help your front in the way you asked. From the looks of him the Buddy Love bull might not either. However I love many things about him and one thing I like about he and Gus as well is that they look like bulls. For me, many shorthorn bulls just aren't masculine enough. Another bull you could look at is Notorious.
