World's most beautiful cow on display in Quebec

Quoting an article from CBC, not that I agree, the most beautiful cow would have to be roan!

A Quebec Holstein billed as the world's most beautiful cow is appearing at a farm exposition in St-Hyacinthe, southeast of Montreal.
Rose, of Montmagny, near Quebec City, is the only cow in history to ever be named Grand Champion twice.
The Holstein was picked as Grand Champion at the World Dairy Expo in 2008 and 2009.
She has won a grand total of 37 prizes since she began her public career in 2006.
Her shiny, black coat and beautiful white spots helped her score points, but what really sets her apart is her large, highly productive udder.
She excels at what concerns Holstein judges the most – milk production.
Rose has a world-class udder, criss-crossed with what looks like a roadmap of thick veins.
She's expected to remain on display at the fair in St-Hyacinthe for 11 days, along with two of her calves — also expected to become

That is a hell of a cow.  You would need about 6 calves to keep her milked down.  Ain't much of a holstein that can't put 10 to 12 gallons a day in the pail.  Some of these girls are breaking 50k lbs a year of milk.

They must be mistaken because the most beautiful cow is roan and is in Sask

That udder really looks like it hurts.  :'(

For 50k a year that would be APPROX  13.5 gallons a day for 11 months a year.  WOW

No matter what breed it is VERY hard to be Grand Champion once much less twice in two years at a major.  Plus the management of the cow to keep her in such good show shape.  I (knowing very little about milk cows) would think that it is a huge management feat.

What I find most impressive about this cow is that she is a 2001 model who is still in production and has an udder that is withstanding time even with her huge milk production record attached is a full body shot of her as a 8 year old.  I have also attached her 2008 daughter who freshened April 2011

She is pretty amazing. I got to be there in 2008 when she won. If you think Denver or Louisville are big shows I encourage you to attend the World Dairy Expo. It was amazing. When she won the Holstein show you should have heard the crowd roar. I would love to see her again.

Gotta love how beautiful dairy cows are -- I always love watching the Supreme Dairy Female show at our State Fair, they make it into a really big deal, it's awesome. They dim the lights and everything!

Yup! Most of 'em would be resting on the lettuce between two seeded buns, after a single similiar lacation. Longevity is difficult to breed for in the dairy cattle business.

I had to smile when I saw the original picture & read all these posts!  A friend of mine & her husband own this cow...she really is as beautiful and impressivel in real life as she is in the picture!!

I see where a heifer calf out of her brought $30,000. Wouldn't this cow be worth a fortune in embryo production alone? Her longevity alone must put her offspring in demand.

bet shes got August cow gentics in her. one of the best ever. couldnt sell bulls out of the cow, but her further down generations are everywhere. my mom worked with the August cow in good ole Manitowoc County Wisconsin.
