Finalized he deal yesterday to switch posesion, and turned him in with our cows. He looks pretty good for a 6 year old range bull. I still believe he's a more complete bull than his daddy!

I don't know ELBEE - my Gizmo first calf heifer is awesome and my 2 Gizmo heifer calves this year are real real promising - IMHO Gizmo was a heck of a bull - I like his babies better than his sons but...

Now I did like my Wymore calves, could be that they weren't heifers that made me place them behind his fathers progeny  ;)

Nice 1st calf heifer Lana. Looks like you may have gotten a new calving barn put up. It also looks very nice!!

Thanks - I like the heifer - fun to look at, great mom, and fabulous temperament.

Same barn rearranged

Cant find any Wymore baby pictures but the calves were born easy, grew great, square hipped and were pretty fronted with the best temperament

My Gizmo babies are awesome....pictures if I can get them to stop bouncing

OB - YUP, that's her. Bred her to BC Hobo 1961- Red Angus bull known for CE, maternal traits, and longevity - the combo produced a really nice red heifer

The two new Gizmo heifers are pretty impressive - one solid black, square, thick - I call her "Tankie" and the second a titch more feminine blue roan - the dams are mother and daughter Kumquat (Impact X Witch Doctor) and Sweet Pea (Midas X Kumquat) - pretty excited about all these heifers and we just started ;)

ELBEE LEADER 321N   Is the name Wymore is under at SEK. I kept looking and looking couldn't find him but knew I had seen him in their catalog. I went through the pictured bulls and found him.

sue and lee - what do you think is "better" about Wymore when comparing him to his sire? What makes him more complete? Certainly Gizmo was outstanding - does that make his son fantabulous ;)

More circumference in the heart girth. Straighter and wider hooks to pins.

then i would use him on that shorthorn heifer someone was asking about.  that is where she is most deficient.  to me, one of the most glaring traits is an almost seemingly parallel thickness between the hooks and between the pins, add in the high spinal column, and it's displeasing to look at.

I would agree with ElBEE - more heart and his dam is a Darrell daughter. I liked all of the Darrell daughters when I visited.  No I have not used Wymore but it's like Buster and a couple other bulls that I like but have not used.  Happy New Year
