Are you talking about a hay/silage feeder on wheels that has locking stanchions?

"MY TURN" Information by Brad Hook.....please read.

ZNT, are you implying White Lake SD is a veritable bovine hothouse in comparison to Tecumseh NE? Can we just agree that freaky show cattle are not necessarily abundant in practical traits to suit all environments of beef production, call it a given, and speak no more of it again? That cow has...

Red Knight! What does he work best on??

Ivy leagues mom. No joke. Steermaker was about the fourth best calf from a dividend cow and red knight. He also worked real well on angus cows for clubby moms. Seems to me you would use him just like you would his sire.

    Polled Pursuit photo?

Tall, very tube gutted, stylish in a 20 years ago sort of way, I doubt very much he would DNA to what his parentage is supposed to be. He sure does show up alot in some good cattle though.

"SCHOOL of HARD KNOCKS"...Contribute if U Can!

When weaning you can take calves away from cows, but if you take the cows from the calves you better have them in a rhino proof guardrail lot or they will go looking for their babies. have the cow in the chute before you thaw semen, or you might waste $100 straw if she pulls a houdini getting...

    Angus "Classing out" @ Austin

DNA? How does that prove that anything more than the parentage of the sample donor? Ok, so you have a DNA report that a sample submitted is within 99.99% likely to be fullblood Belted Brahmalo. Prove to me the animal you are holding is the donor of the sample, and therefore should be in the...

    Angus "Classing out" @ Austin

First of all if you do not show in, sell to, or at least reside in Texas, why are you posting an opinion? For all I know there is French Lop rabbit board that is raising a ruckuss (for the umpteenth time) about verifying ear length standards at Great Rabbit Round Up in Hackensack NJ. I wouldnt...

    Ivy League TH Status

This makes 3 mistakes I know of. How many mistakes have been made, but never discovered? This is a big deal. I hate testing, its a pain in the butt, I never hit the vein in the tail the first time, and it seems I usually get kicked in the same spot on my shin. Plus Im poor so paying for the...

    Ivy League TH Status

STEER HIM????!!!! Good gawd people. Hey, this sucks to be sure, but come on. I commented when I saw Ivy that he was the beacon of hope that you didnt need to be a TH carrier anymore to get yak hair and bone. Whoops. Doesnt mean he wont have his place in terminal steer production or managed...

    The Last Straw

We obviously need a swap board. There is some quality stuff gathering dust. I have some ampules that I doubt I ever use because I dont remember what it is and if was any good I would have used it. I used to have a treasure chest of cool old goodies but I transferred most of it to the "good...

thus using him on small chubby heatwave types.

    New (old) bulls

I would use Windsor today, although he was popular in his time so I dont know if he fits. In my mind he matches up perfect with small chubby and plain made HW type cows. If I had Jolt or Stoney in my tank and I had an Angus cow in the chute I might use it and hope for a heifer.

    HOUSTON

I have a heterosexual man crush on you, schroeder. not only am i amused by your sardonic wit you obviously are a learned, brilliant man as your opinions mirror my own. A sure sign of wisdom in the purest form. Where as I, when stumbling across a post that makes me shake my head and weep, move...

It has got to stop (NC)

I can not fathom anything as reprehensible as these acts you speak of. sexual predation has no equal in my mind.I condone the jailhouse justice that is supposedly doled out to offenders. That being said, falsely accusing someone of said actions rates up there as well. I am in complete agreement...

OK Planeteers.....Time 2 USE Your Brain AGAIN.........

Breeder sponsorship. Tier II calves that would otherwise go to the salebarn, but are still of quality and have the potential to represent well. Calves are made available to qualifying exhibitors on a first come first served, or lottery pick, whatever. (not germane to the concept) Breeders are...

What is the most calves you have heard of from a single sire?

Had a neighbor that ran about a hundred angus cows on one big pasture. He had an old herf bull and bought a couple yearling angus bulls to throw in. Story goes that Lloyd would see the yearlings chasing cows all over the place and the old Herf just hung out under a tree by the pond all by...

    Walks Alone's first calves!

I would be more concerned with shape than weight. could be like calving a bowling ball. WA is wider than he is tall.

    older bull! Question about Foreplay!

I have seen many good cows. I dont see him adding depth, bone, or hair. He added style and was stout for his time. Power Plant was never known for bone hair or depth, and Foreplay was out of a real cool Chi based cow who wouldnt bring those to the table either. Could work on a furry midget though.

    Witchdoctor

If you got it use it. Might get a steer out of the deal, heifers should be top shelf keepers. I never pulled a WD calf. My all time favorite for heifers if you are are looking for a chance to get saleable calves.
