That's exactly what Lautners game plan is. And I'll be following suit.

steer...aggressive at new home, angel with me

If the calf won't eat with them around I'd suggest pulling out the feed till he gets hungry enough to eat out of the new owners hand. It might be a day or two but I'd bet it would help tremendously

    Jesse James

@Freddy , thanks she was a good one and brought me a decent chunk of change. I bred the cow back but we had bad luck with abortions last season. IMO I-80 is the go-to bull for your Heatwave, Monopoly, and Walks cattle that need styled up and maintain your footsize and power. A lot of people are...

    Jesse James

I guess my point is if you have a powerful female, I-80 will work better than JJ all day. For a calving ease bull that will throw you a sellable calf out of a moderate heifer, I'd use JJ. In fact I've bred all my heifers to JJ and got along great the past two years. Very good calves. With that...

I've been to 50 farms this year and the I-80 calves and Monopolys are far and away the best. The best two I've seen we're I-80s x Cookie Monsters at Garwoods

I-80 will be $100 by the end of the week. I'd buy it now

    Farm Signs

I work part time at a print and design shop that specializes in signage and banners. Shoot me a message with your ideas. We're actually one of the biggest businesses in Southern Ohio and all of our stuff is exceedingly cheap.

    Jesse James Calves?

Update - sold the calf to a fellow SP'er and she won her class at a few shows before developing some foot problems related to feed intake Pictured below at Highland County and Adams County

    Spring Smackdown

I liked Cluxtons Bodacious x Carnac the best honestly.  She took a bad picture for the Internet and only brought $3000

4 years ago tomorrow (Why is the SP Logo Red?)

I'll always kick myself for not introducing myself when I had the chance at the Beef Expo 4 years ago. It was in the bull display area and I saw her there buzzing around with Mrs. Nelson talking about who knows what. My 15 year old self chickened out from shyness... She passed that night  :'(...

    VOTE obama OUT !

Hey don't blame all of Ohio. Blame Franklin county, cuyhoga county, Hamilton county, and Meigs county. That's Columbus, cincy, Cleveland, and Athens.

Walking to the ring on asphalt/concrete/gravel problem...

Would aspirin help alleviate the tenderness? I'll pass the advice along (I'm sure the owners will read this eventually  ;) )

Walking to the ring on asphalt/concrete/gravel problem...

I was told she just had her feet trimmed last weekend so she was probably still tender from that.

Walking to the ring on asphalt/concrete/gravel problem...

Does anyone have any advice to share on this situation. There's this heifer that is absolutely sound when she walks in grass but when she has to walk on the asphalt or gravel to get to the ring she starts swinging out wide on her rear legs really bad. The first two shows she cut it out before...
