Why are you running out of time?  You are looking at a nice late March calf if she comes in this weekend.  A Saturday breeding would put a calfaround March 30 for you.

Depends on where they are in their cycle. If they are on Day 0-4 of their cycle, they won't show heat Day 5-17, they will show heat in 2-5 days Day 18-21, they will show heat in 1-3 days. So on this protocol, give lutalyse once and then breed, anything that did not show heat give a second shot...

Have heard the rumor as well.  He is listed on the ASA website as a Fresh Embryo calf that weighed 70 lbs. The rumor that I heard is that he was closer to 50 pounds and was a twin.

He should hopefully have some calves in Grindstone Creek's sale this fall. I am very excited to see them.

Should I wait another 21 or try to breed her tomorrow morning. She had a 79 pound calf unassisted, so there wasn't any trouble with the calf.  I normally wait 45 days, but was curious on everyone's thoughts.
