Terry,

(thumbsup)  Just wanted to wish you good luck on the sale this weekend.  I hope that "Max" goes for lots and lots of money and then you can retire and buy your own island and drink margaritas all day long.  I can't wait to see how much you get for him, he sure is a nice calf!!  Lisa

The heifer I wanted is already out of my range.  That Joe heifer out of Mona Lisa is one hot little model.  If my banker husband would just give me a loan!

Oh, I wanted her too.  I have been watching the bidding and it is not even Labor Day Weekend yet.  Can you imagine what she is going to go for.  What I would do to have that heifer.......  She is NICE!!!

Juli told my daughter she'd hide her in the outhouse...but she must have forgot to put the Show Circuit sire directory in there to keep her occupied because she evidently escaped! lol  If I don't get her I want her to blow the roof off with the price.  Juli and Brad are super people and work hard...they deserve to get all they can out of her

I could sell the bull....but the money isn't mine.  He belongs to a lovely 10 year old girl named Danielle!  Earmarked for college

WOW -- thanks a bunch. !!! ;D

I can safely say that I am aging VERY rapidly at the present time. I am nervous as a three legged rat on an interstate!

Just so you know, as far as I can tell at this point, there are only 2 bidders so far -- a few hundred people have yet to even see him -- so who knows. I am going up on Friday -- and will be doing some cooking and just generally be in the way!!! hehehe

I know this will be my first days off in over 6 months -- and I plan on having some fun!

Keep in mind -- the calf WILL sell to the highest bidder -- there is no phony anything here -- he goes to the highest bid - period. He sells  100% -- no retained anything. I might wish I had kep an interest later -- we will see -- but I can make another one -- I still have his mother!!! hehehe

I agree -- that Joe hfr is awesome -- and IS the real deal. It is going to be hard to drive back home without her on MY trailer!!! hehehe . If you have the bucks, you would be WELL advised to bring her home with you -- and never let her leave! Juli and Brad are great breeders, great people -- and don't getnearly enough credit for all they do and WILL continue to do! Hats off to them both.

Thanks so much for the comments -- it is getting exciting to watch on the internet bidding site -- and like Juli said -- ALL the calves are tons better in person, technology is great -- but it can't replace a real pair of eyes!!!

Come up and get some BBQ brisket -- I will be there and so will alot of others. I can't wait -- and no matter what he brings, he has made me proud just to be in the business! Thanks everyone!

Where can one watch this calf at???

Go to www.Clubcalfparadise.com and you will find him on there.  His number is 007, that is cool.  This is the Club Calf Paradise sale in Iowa, Brad & Juli Nelson put it on and they have some really nice cattle that are being consigned on there.  They have internet bidding as well as on the phone and in person.

Cowboy.... hope you need to have somebody riding shotgun on the trip home to help guard the big cheque!!!  Your bully calf looks good. I bet he looks even  better in person. ( not like some others who have been photoshopped to perfection!!!)  Good luck! I will be watching to see how you make out.

I had the pleasure of getting to visit with Juli and Brad and looking through these calves a couple of weeks ago,  and my  somewhat experienced guess is that the bidding is barely getting started on lots of them, including Cowboy's bull calf.  I haven't bid on anything yet myself because I'm trying to get back up there this weekend,  but one way or the other I plan to.  If all goes well,  I hope to see some of you there.

Hey Cowboy,

Good luck this weekend!!  I'm not sure I'l make it over--but I'm going to try.  As far as all that money goes--if you'd like to leave some in Iowa I have a real secure place in my backyard and I wouldn't even charge you much to watch it for you!!

Seriously, he looks great and I'm sure you'll do well!!

Thanks again every one for the very nice comments. I can't say what is going to happen with him at the end of all this, but I do know one thing -- this is making me nervous as all get out! If I live thru it, I may try again next year with aneven better one.

As Juli said once on her blog -- this is NOT about the money -- sure it pays the bills and is nice to have and I am not complaining if he brings a bunch -- but the REAL bottom line is the fact that we were able to make a decent calf -- and he is making us proud !

I am proud to get to know all the fine people in this business, and this weekend hopefully it will all come full circle and we can meet and get to know each other. Be prepared for a stressed out goofy looking guy -- stumbling all over himself -- that would most likely be me!  ;D

Don't worry -- I will have a couple paper bags along just in case some of you have small children and they can't handle the sight of this Cowboy --  the cows don't seem to mind much -- but for some reason, I have always wondered why the wife is so critical -- spose I have missed something for the last 31 years??? hehehehehe

See ya there -- I cna't wait for the party!

I'm partial to the Mona Lisa heifer because when she was born Juli faxed her picture to the hospital during one of my stays. looked good then & even better now.

Terry- I'd be sweating bullets if in your place. Wishing you all the best of luck, you deserve it!
