Exactly, and yes all judges should. When it comes to keeping heifers for breeding pieces it is crucial to sustaining quality for the future. Judges today (for the most part) will judge in soundness first, and many see correct foot structure as soundness, even when not in motion and in stride.Diamond said:when there's plenty of structurally correct bulls out there, why compromise?

Personally I do not consider a PHAC or THC bull maternal perfection. I know I don't want my cows and replacement heifers being PHA carriers.

I am not talking for seedstock or the middle man. B) I have found that all my TH free cows milk rings around my Carrier cows. and as far as Maternal Perfection, I feel that his cross of Irish Whiskey x Imprint is just that in the clubby world. Maternal Perfection. Most Whiskey cows are gold! I said most. I could care less if a cow is a PHA carrier because very few bulls are th and pha carriers. usually they are free of one. thats just my opinion. I will welcome whiskey genetics into my herd with open arms
