I’ll give Mark credit for not hiding his hatred for “rugbeaters” as he calls them. I’ve seen several times he uses terms that many would find offensive if this wasn’t a cattle forum but regular social media. Too each their own. This site isn’t racist though. Like any thing tempers can flare. AJ can’t help himself. He doesn’t it on FB too. He likes to troll me on there. He likes to troll anybody on here. Because he’s just bored. I get a kick out of him.

I agree with the others about posting pictures. I don’t want to screenshot a pic and do all the other stuff. I’d post a lot more pics as well if it were easier.

I also agree that the big show is the only thing I pay attention to.

I usually read SP a few times a week still.

Facebook and twitter are like rivers of negative slime. Like in Ghostbusters 2. The river of negativism slime running under the city made everyone angry. Thank god for Bill Murray.

Allow for people to post their animals for sale in this Big Show forum. People just aren’t going to go searching for their next steer/heifer project especially when it was so readily available on Facebook to see what was for sale. I mean really how many people come here and then go to the cattle sales forum to find a steer or heifer.
Realistically how many regular posters here go and look at the cattle sales forum? In my never to be humble opinion, I believe everything else is an afterthought to the Big Show forum.

I second this notion. I rarely ever go to another section of SP other than the Big Show forum because it has the most traffic.

Heavens to Betsy. If I knew that the filthy word "rug beater" was used in this forum........we must become politically correct or else! That is SO disgusting!

it's really a euphemism for "for christs sake"

a way to cuss in "christian" circles without cussing.

All I'm saying is that I see a lot of posts from what seems like young people, people new to the past time/business who have legitimate (maybe repetitive) questions about their projects but get no response.

and yet, only 52 posts from you. ::)

you complain about everyone, but 52 posts doesn't cut it.

Maybe both JJC Wild Side and FF Redman were purchased after our seeing them on the Cattle for Sale Classifieds?  Both those bulls were purchased sight-unseen from reputable breeders, and they were just as the breeders described them.  I'm okay with it either way--keeping classifieds as they are or just let them be posted on The Big Show forum.

It is good to see more people posting again.

A ton at maturity is an educated guess, although a touch bigger is not out of the question.  Both his yearling EPD and calving numbers are similar to his sire, Hot Commodity.

5 should be very close, but he has not been measured for quite a while.  SIGC (Southern Indiana Grazing Conference) speakers do not like anything much larger than a frame 5, and that is nearly unanimous year after year.  Allen Williams, there in 2018, runs 100 bulls, so he is not an amateur, successfully grazing cattle to grade very high on only forages with no grain.  Grazing experts like frame 4 as well, which surprised me in the beginning.  Homeplace Hot Commodity 1625 will moderate frame scores.  Somebody who has seen lots of AI bulls, said that 1625 might sire club calves as well as breeding stock.
