Why don't you post up some pics of your heatwaves when you have time?  Then it will be easier to tell you what bull wil help.

What did you breed her to first and second calf? I used Northern Improvement for my first go around was extremely happy. I also used some OCC genetics and was happy with the results. Just remember just because they were a great show heifer doesn't mean they will make a cow. I have had a couple that looked great in the ring but have never made a home run for me. Pics would  be great!

Ever thought that maybe Heatwave was a terminal sire and keeping heifers is generally not a good idea.  Friend of mine once said Heatwave with strip the milk out of a holstein.  Might not be the calf but a general lack of feed.

Unstoppable seems like a good choice.  Has she had his calve yet?

Looking at the pics she need something pretty fronted.  Find a pretty fronted bull that will add good maternal traits to her and I think your have your best chance..G-Luck

Even though I'm sure I'll be attacked for my choice, I've bred my Heat Wave x Meyer heifer to Jesse James.  Calving ease, vigor, clean, and enough Chi that the resulting calf will be well over the new requirements to be eligible for the national shows...they're not all steer calves.  We will see next spring if I did the right thing.
