Mixing Kleen Sheen and vinegar

Hi, trying to save some $ here, Is it reccomended to mix kleen sheen and vinegar 50/50? I have had good luck blowing in 100% Kleen Sheen daily, but with more calves to do ( more product, more $) is there any benefit or harm to diluting with vinegar or water? Thanks in advance.

I mix ALL the time.  I actually will mix about half and half.  Vinegar is great for hair and skin and it's very cheap.  I have several different bottles of "sheen" that I use. 
    One is a half/half mix that I use before shows or clipping or when it's really hot out. 
    I have another that I mix half and half but add about 2oz. of Mane and Tail contitioner too.  It adds a slight bit of weight to the hair but probably less than Revive.  It is tremendous for the skin which will promote hair growth.  I use that at home all of the time unless it's REALLY hot out and they aren't going to be under fans.  Kind of like Revive only cheaper.
    I have another that I mix at 3/4 sheen, 1/4 vinegar and then add about 2 oz. of a people hair shine product.  The name excapes me right now but I think it is PINK brand.  Some of the clear hair shine products are thicker than others. The one I use is more watery and mixes better.  You have to shake shake shake your spray bottle when you use this. I use this one at shows.  I love the luster it give the hair!
  FYI:  I use mane and tail conditioner straight in the tail switch every day.  I rub it all the way down to the tail bone.  It really helps promote good tail hair growth and condition.  I also rub gobs of this into the leg hair after a show.  It makes the hair heavy until you wash it out but it really helps keep the skin and hair healthy after all of the other show product is washed out.

I wouldn't dilute it with water, maybe vinegar though, you would benefit form it a little bit because, it will help with flys a little bit, and when you wash and you leave some soap in their hair, you wont get bad dandruff. You can mix Infusium 23 leave in conditioner(it's a human conditioner, you can get it at wal mart) and vinegar. Also a quarter original armor-all and three quarters water works just like kleen sheen. You can also use Ultra sheen instead of kleen sheen

I have a question, what do you guys put in the hair, when you put them in the cooler, and after you wash them, I have heard people say they put conditioner in it and then they leave it the hair and dont wash it out until they wash the next time, to me that seems like it would make the hair really dirty

BCCC --- Oh yeah, I totally agree on the Infusium.  In fact that is another mix that I use.  It is GREAT and you can sometimes get a great buy on that at Walmart or Sams. Depending on where you live just play with it.  You don't need to go broke using Kleen Sheen.  Just think about what you are trying to accomplish.  You mostly want to get your hair in great condition and keep it healthy along with the skin since you are washing it everyday.  You don't want to weigh it down.  There are lots of leave in products.  My rule of thumb is that if I wouldn't use it on my hair why would I use it on my cattle's hair?  Also, if you notice that your hands are getting dry, imagine how the critter is feeling.  

This mix is GREAT to use before putting them in the cooler and at night.  Not too heavy and won't make them dirty  or hot like Revive.

I loved purple oil for taking glue out of legs.

We used to dilute it down with alcohol and would use as a cheap oil for lots of cattle at sales.

purple oil around here is being used for wool breeds of sheep so that we can wash them and keep their fleeces clean but add oil to keep the fleece in good condition.

We put the infusium in the EZ sprayer and spray it on and just leave it in, haven't ever mixed it with vinegar.

50% kleen sheen, 25% alcohol 25% abosrbine and the rose oil (barbers use it)

smells just like it and seems to work similar

Where do you find "rose oil'? Is the Aborsbine, linament? And what kind of alcohol? Parden the ignorance, and thanks for any info.

I'm not sure what the rose oil is either.

This is better than old high school chemistry lab.

We used to have some kind of concoction that contained alum, clove oil, and some kind of powder that we used to break hair.  You would dry the calf, then spray it on, brush them down, brush them forward, and then dry.  It seemed to work.  It was forever known as "Stinky Stuff".  And it did.

We used to also have "Red Stuff".  An early version of Zoom Bloom, we ordered it from up north somewhere before the days of Sullivans.  It held hair in place.  It wasn't real sticky though and it smelled good.

Funny how you can still remember the smells of this stuff more than anything.
