Tough to tell from that angle.  Got another pic?  He looks like a red necked roan with his tail done up in a ball.  Weren't many of those red neck roams that won in the era this pic seems to have been taken.  If it's a North American bull I'd guess young Irish Pride.  If the pic is taken somewhere in somewhere in South America I'd guess it's a Tribune son in the late 80's.  Very interesting, thanks for sharing.

Guy at the table has a ball cap as do some in the crowd, showman has a cowboy hat, and another fellow standing in front of the bull has a scotch cap with the fuzzy ball on top.  The other guy at the head of the bull has a driving cap, but he appears to be an outlier in the headware department.  Going to guess this is a North American show.  Unfortunately can't read the banners on the table.

I am pretty sure this would be a North American show as most of the shows in Argentina are held outside on grass. The first bull I thought of when I saw the picture was RPS Brag, who was sold to Australia, but I am pretty sure that isn't Don Pope on the halter.

Dan, you are correct. I thought of that when I was out feeding the cows and was going to correct my post but forgot when I came in.
And why does everyone refer to those hats as being "Scotch" hats? I doubt if any Scot ever wore one of these hats unless he was 2 or 3 generations from ever living in Scotland.
Getting back to the bull in question, he does look familiar but I am drawing blanks. I wish I could see clearer who was on the halter.

I think the hat Emerson Clark is wearing is more what a Scotsman would wear.

I did some googling around and the two guys standing together with different caps on.........I found evidence that suggests that both hats have, are and could be called scotch caps.

John Patterson sold no telling how many scotch caps  during Denver in the 70's and later years.  Then past week I wished I still had one.  They would last forever.

I remember going to the stock show as a kid. We stayed in a hotel. I turned on the tv and about cried. A tv station that had sports 24 hours a day. It was incredible.
