NAME THE BULL!

Don't have much help on the bull but it looks like the Chicago International. I was there late 60's early 70's. Those hats were big then.

In their day both served their purpose.  Have to remember, at  that  time,  cow prices at an all time low, wasn't much of a way to hang on and the frame 10's came along,  kept a bunch of cow people from going t**s up,  let us hang on till things got better.

Im right there-he actually was one of the better big ones and seemed sound- by "today" I meant the lack of historical perspective "modern" responders seem to have offhand and didnyt get across-The hats hands down  were definitely goofier than him-the Ayatollah Evergreen Seville Shorthorns were FAR WORSE O0

Don't think 18th, definitely not Dividend, possibly Dr Pepper.

I found the picture online with some info leading me to believe it is in fact Deerpark Leader 18th.

I was hoping someone might be able to confirm, as I've never saw a picture of the bull.

If it is Ldr 18th, then it is a picture I've never seen. I wasn't thinking he was as dark bodied as that. I'll look this evening.

I saw Leader 18th a few times at Ron Hofstrands in North Dakota and I never saw him looking like that!  It may well be Leader 18th, but the picture must have been taken on a very poor day. I will always remember going to Hofstrand's in fall one year, and seeing Leader 18th and a pasture full of his calves. At the time, I thought they may have been one of the best sets of calves from any sire I had ever seen. They were all stamped alike and all were pretty darn good! If I had not been using Highfield Irish Mist ( also a son of Leader 18th) I would have tried to buy one that day.

Steermaker's "roan" was much more solid and his rear legs were white.

Why not dividend, the horns.?  He’s got the red wrap around on rear leg.
