Gators coach resigns. Cited poor health. Wonder who will fill that hole in the coaching world
Ok, y'all hang on (clapping) I'm going to have to agree with SH on this one (there I said it) (lol) I don't know about the Farve deal, but I think this would have shown a whole lot more class if 1. He made a decision after all of the options were thought over 2. He would of waited until after his season and bowl game were over so it didn't totally disrupt the team he loves so much, it just leaves a bitter taste for someone with such class and prestige not to be able to make such a decision that impacts so many peoples lives without a little more conviction and forethought, if you want to quit, do so, if not, shut up and think about it in private. As chambero said, "Football is a team sport and he is worrying about him, not his team."Show Heifer said:I do not question his ability to coach, he has proven himself many times. His ability to recruit, and coach is not in question.
What I question is his lack of forethought. Why make a huge "retirement" announcement on Saturday night during the bowl games, 1 week before your own big sugar bowl game? When in less than 12 hours you changed your mind. Seems either lack of thought, a panic stricken knee jerk reaction, or something else no one has thought of.
I would like to think that if I have to make such a HUGE decision, I would take some time, think it out, weigh out my options, then make a decision and STICK TO IT. And if he did think long and hard about retiring, why did it take less than 12 hours to suddenly change it back?
I don't know.... just seems like a favre thing....
