I would suggest at least testing it out sometime soon. You may find he doesn't like it at all or it doesn't give you the tanked up look you are after. You don't want to find out a week before the show that it is not going to work and have to scramble for an alternative. I'm sure there are plenty of people on here who can advise you on daily feeding routines for it, but we never use it anymore, so my knowledge is very limited. Our cattle simply have refused to eat it every time we have tried it over the past few years, so we use Full Tank and stemmy hay to achieve the same effect. Best of luck!

I have A BUNCH of Winning fill left my steer last year ate it like candy. I think im just going to mix a little in his grain so he gets used to it and then feed it by its self? I'll post a pic of him this weekend

I have heard that  a lot of cattle will not eat it if it is older and to keep an eye on the dates on bags. If it doen't work, maybe try a new bag.  Like I said, our cattle have never liked the stuff, no matter how fresh it was, so my experience is limited in this.

We use the product all the time with good results. Most calves will eat it how ever you feed it. We usually start giving them a little of it when we tie them in the barn to blow them out or anything we do. Some will just pick at it so we mix a little sweet feed or something they really like to get them started.

Full Tank is similar in that it is just a filler. It tanks them up, but doesn't really help put finish or cover on an animal. Full Tank is a pellet and for whatever reason, our cattle like it better. We just mix it in with their daily ration. How much just depends on the animal- overall size and need for a bellied down appearance. FYI- it also helps dry up their stool, so it works great if you have a nervous pooper or just some really rich forage.

I agree with watching the quality of the Winning Fill - remember this is a semi wet silage type roduct with a limited shelf life. I am not sure it is designed as a complete feed - may want to continue to fed some grain mix to keep growth rate desired.

Yes I feed it with grain. I put the amount of WF in a separate tub and the grain in a separate tub.. sometimes I mix it depending on if i have a feeder calf in with my show calf or not
