My steer weighs 420lb first show in December...Umm..Not sure what else to include so comment what you need to know. He is PB Simmental Ill post pics soon
I have A BUNCH of Winning fill left my steer last year ate it like candy. I think im just going to mix a little in his grain so he gets used to it and then feed it by its self? I'll post a pic of him this weekendBoot Jack Bulls said:I would suggest at least testing it out sometime soon. You may find he doesn't like it at all or it doesn't give you the tanked up look you are after. You don't want to find out a week before the show that it is not going to work and have to scramble for an alternative. I'm sure there are plenty of people on here who can advise you on daily feeding routines for it, but we never use it anymore, so my knowledge is very limited. Our cattle simply have refused to eat it every time we have tried it over the past few years, so we use Full Tank and stemmy hay to achieve the same effect. Best of luck!
I have heard that a lot of cattle will not eat it if it is older and to keep an eye on the dates on bags. If it doen't work, maybe try a new bag. Like I said, our cattle have never liked the stuff, no matter how fresh it was, so my experience is limited in this.LindseysMaine_Angus said:I have A BUNCH of Winning fill left my steer last year ate it like candy.
