I believe what you are seeing is just the opinions of a few judges. No all judges are the same. Some are not great at perdicting a calf's future outcome.

Lautner has already seen what he can produce. He's an opportunist and sharp when making an investment on a good bull. I bet he'll stick around and become a popular steer producer. It's built into his DNA.
