Hello from Central Michigan !  You can add low watt light bulbs inside the fountain case ( Ritchie) . It helps keep the lower pipes from freezing and I think it's only a 10 watt bulb? I have tried insulating the box and it's a great mouse house! Later a huge mess. hope this helped
