These bulls were all the rage at one time. Funny, how we can look back at the cattle and compare them to today's standards, without looking at our past opinions and putting them side-by-side to our current mindsets for an objective evaluation.

dl,  if you didn't have that little handy dandy cheat sheet, you're guess may not have come so quickly :)

you got it, taken at stan spicers the same day as Teton's picture.  where's telos when you need him?

I've been here all along, just watching how these bull pics play out. Wishing I had kept all my old Maine paraphernalia, but threw them all away last spring. Thought it would be a fire hazard...Had a large amount collected over the years. It was interesting to see a Cunic son. Had some cows, at one time, trace to that old boy. Hope you keep the pictures coming... that's if you have more.

Talked to Kandee Lucus-Hagerman the other day, because at one time she had photos of all the import bulls. She is always fun to talk to, but you better have unlimited minutes with your phone provider.  XXCC, Kandee gave you and DL an A+ , thumbs up rating, which I already knew!!!  She's been my history teacher when it comes to those imported Maines. Always liked picking her brain and if she didn't know the answers could at least fabricate an interesting story out of it.

what does google tell you here, farmboy?

OK xxcc - I really don't know my old Simmie's but there is a fullblood Simmie bull called ABRICOT, born in 1971, and you would be the kinda guy who would have his picture and find the satire in showing it after Abricot the MA bull....if that ain't right ya gotta give me another hint!!

dl, i am not totally 100% sure, I was hoping someone else like farmboy would know for sure, but, I think you are correct and the above Simmi was the sire of Mr. Clean.

here's another.  this bull was stolen, actually, only part of him.

XXCC, what part of him did the theives steel? He looks like a good bull and those old Simmi people use to talk about a bull named Signal being a good bull. So I'm going to guess, Signal.

We might have to call in a Charolais guru for DL's Charolais bull.

i'm going to punt and see if the Char bull was Santa Claus MC20?

nope, not Signal, but I'm sure many Simmi's go back to him.  The bull in question was deceased when something stolen. ???

Well I'll be darned - not bad for womeone's whose SImmie bull knowledge is pretty much limited to Black Destiny, 600U and a couple of others - I think "knowing the stealth of the other bull posters" is helpful!. I'll cogitate on your other SImmie bull - any hints?

furthering the hint: what does a bull possess that can be stolen once he has been deceased?

Can't think of his name but the simmy's mounted head was stolen this past year in Canada at Agribition, the Stampede, or which ever show the Simmental Congress was at up there.  He is I think #1 is the US and or Canadian registry.  I believe they also sold a walking cane made from his yoohoo during the sale.  If they haven't found it there was a sizeable reward for the return of the head.

no it was not semen, but good thought process.  and it wasn't his hide either, atleast from the neck back.  i'm pretty sure that's still hanging on Don Burnham's wall. so, google wizards, who is he?
