dl,
Is the Charolais bull pictured, BR Duke 261? Not really having any luck looking so that's my best guess.

Good guess - do you want a hint or the answer??

The bull was owned by Lloyd Wilder of Fairmont and Winston Wolfendon of Brisco BC, plus 84 Idaho cowboys bought 25% share for 1000 dollars each. He came across the Atlantic (from France) in 1965 on a wine boat and was quarantined on Grosse Ile - I believe the year was 1965.

FB - only because you asked so nice and picked the right hockey team (not however according to our favorite lawyer MLK 32) will I tell you....

Appollon (sometimes apparently spelled Apollon)

Reg # is M19853

The guy down below I found at ....
http://search.charolaisusa.com/default.aspx

I think the British and their relatives always provided better costumes for their winning livestock than the US

they don't play very good hockey though (although the AUssies have some pretty good bull riders!)

SJCC, that's my mother! She might not like your comment right before Mothers Day this Sunday. Oh, happy Mothers Day to all the mothers with people and cows.

Yes DL... That photo along with many other great shots is from Good Breeding, by Yann Arthus-Bertrand.

is that a man in drag???

I really don't know who's at the halter of the Charolais bull.  I guess an artist, like Bertrand, leaves that up to us viewers for interpetation.

does anyone else notice how really disgusted the bull looks? It's like, who put this Easter egg in front of me?

Looks like Seabiscuit to me - never thought to be a handsome fella, but he could run!
