Reading back through the posts on the this topic I made the following observations:

Knabe defined the problem.

Knabe offered a solution.

The solution worked.

Knabe was successful. And in American success is now punished!

Knabe is in need of our understanding and we should support him as he goes through sensitivity and diversity training.  


Please don't scold me Red. You might have to go through anger management and conflict resolution class if you do.

But Knabe is well, Knabe after all. And I know Knabe is a big boy but I hear he has eyes every where!

I can't believe I'm saying this about an alien, but I agree with SD!  Don't be dumping on my buddy Knabe!!  If you dig deep enough and leave your sensitivity at the door, Knabe usually does a pretty good job of explaining the problem.  I'm not saying it always what you want to hear or how you want to hear it, but, considering his geographic(left) location he does a pretty darn good job.  Always take the problem directly to the source first----then, if you want to vent, do it after all other possible solutions have been exhausted.  Good call, Knabe, you can help me with my problems anytime.

This is a great post for our younger viewers on purchasing ideas.
1. If you dont like how something looks DONT BUY IT. (You can see the photo before you buy it at Denver.)
2. If you have a problem with something talk to the company before you buy and see if they can fix the problems.( There are people right there taking your orders.)
3. If you buy something and still have a problem go to the company FIRST and give them a chance to fix it before you come on a massage board and start bashing them anonymously.

We were just at the Junior Heifer Show in Ft Worth and Barron Photografix was the photographer there. You had to fill out an order form with credit card information and which pictures or packages you wanted BEFORE they would even get you in line to take pictures. I was not too happy about that or the prices, they seemed a bit on the high side. They did have green shavings and they were clean and made a decent picture. Pictures also seemed to take a little longer than one would think. But hey I like to gripe. Just wish I had a choice to see the picture before I bought it.

The Photography at a show, is no different from the Judging; it's all subjective.  What you think is terrible, may seem first rate to another.  Always look to the positive; with digital photography, there is always the chance of improvement.  Be glad this picture was not taken in the days of film.  Not only were you charged a much higher % for each picture, but you also had to pay 1 - 2 months before you saw your pictures.

It was our experience that the larger (more prestigious) the Show, the worse the pictures.
