    New herd bull

I like the bull, it's a "dick braman" kinda color for sure ! His phenotype is ideal, BW is high but . .. how did he test DSF if his dam has DSH in both the top and bottom of pedigree?

    Genetic Defects in Shorthorns

Actually alot of the DSH and DSC bulls out there have bred past age 5 or 6, Jake's Proud Jazz is a great example of a bull with a great deal of natural coverage well past age 10 in spring/fall breeding programs. The sire to Uncle and even Uncle himself is not a young bull(s). To each it's own...

LC Diamond Cutter: WHAT WERE THEY LIKE?

LC Diamond Country was at Darlees and in 2004 ( he was 13 yrs old) my sister saw him at Elbees. The following summer Lee had him collected - my sister purchased semen and I saw calves by him the summer of 2005.  If  I remember correctly - LC Diamond Country stifled - but amen to the bulls that...

LC Diamond Cutter: WHAT WERE THEY LIKE?

I recall one Diamond Cutter in person, very thick. My sister is using a bull called LC Diamond Country this spring- I am pretty sure the pedigrees are similar.

    sheephead shear blades

I think 20 tooth comb has a 4 tooth blade- you're testing our age. I have not  used sheep heads to fit since the late 80's or early 90's?

    Ace of diamonds (shorthorn)

The reason the "numbers disappear " is because the breeders are not WHR members. AOD has high accuracy EPD's as in 80% or higher so I would pay more attention the that then worry about the breeding behind him. She looks real nice too.

    LR Randolph 14th

Dover used his photo in alot of the 80's issues of the shorthorn world. I have a copy but it's not easy to find at the moment.

    Pleasant Dawn Seal 2nd

The calves by Elite Edition are  very good! I was at McElhaney Stock Farms last summer in Mid August. I saw the bull at Glen Holly and really liked him in person.  MSF program is pretty awesome- one of the best visits I have made in recent years. Established breeders but few realize how great...
